Are you my Mommy?
*This is Baby Aluna and she was born at Chester Zoo but unfortunately, this tiny dik-dik antelope was unable to form a bond with her mother. Wanting to ensure the tiny baby had everything it needed, Tim Rowlands was tasked with hand rearing the baby. Now little Aluna is growing stronger and keeping foster parent Tim on his toes. Aluna is named for her tendency to be a little rambunctious and quick on her feet. Rowlands explains: “We’ve called her Aluna, which means ‘come here’ in Swahili. It’s rather apt!” You can read more about Baby Aluna and her foster father, Tim on Chester Zoo’s website.
